Action Principles for international equal partnership development collaboration

The purpose with the Action Principles is transition from Aid dependency to equal partnership international development collaboration with sustainable impact.

The Action Principles is composed of Ten Actions (TAct). According to TAct international development interventions must  be needs driven.  A “Needs driven” intervention is identified, designed, implemented, managed and kept sustainable by a local stakeholder, who is part of the intervention itself.  Equal partnership is a work relation built on trust where the partners share inputs, operational responsibilities and benefits, equally. The works must be well planned and evidence based, and TAct also captures a programme management tool: “Real-time Outcome planning and Evaluation”, ROPE. Moreover, worldwide programmes require a network of actors, why Strategic partnership is key and includes staying informed about, and share knowledge with, parallel interventions with related missions.  TAct is based on sustainable economy, all partner institutions generate sustainable revenues to cover running costs, be innovative and  grow. The institutional capacity captures cross-cultural understanding and policies and procedures for transparency and accountability. Two pillars concern Quality values and Resilience. We ensure transparency and accountability in ethics and governance and target truth, trust, equity, and harmony. Resilience it is the capacity to stay strong for each other, being humble, flexible, focused, listening carefully, never judge and never give up.The Quality values concerns the principles of for example truth, trust, harmony, and equity. It concerns staff motivation, coordination and communication. Resilience stands for staying strong and respectful to each other, also across borders.  The Knowledge sharing shall be mutual, timely, honest and be state-of-the art. Our Visibility has to be clear and fair and capture success, challenges and lessons learned.
